This position requires an active DoD TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Counterintelligence (CI) Polygraph. Responsibilities * What You'll Do * The Security Specialist assists the Security Support Lead in the execution of all security-related functions. The Security Specialist will be responsible for functions related to the following security areas: physical security, industrial security, information security, personnel security, and cyber security. The Security Specialist will possess knowledge of collateral, SCI, and SAP security regulations. * Responsibilities * The Security Specialist must have experience in solving DoD and DoN security problems. * Shall have demonstrated experience in managing special access programs, insider threat programs, and security education/training awareness programs. * The Security Specialist will be responsible for the day-to-day administrative security support. * The Security Specialist will be responsible for tracking memoranda of agreements, transition plans, co-utilization agreements, classifications guides, and other security documentation as required. * The Security Specialist will assist in conducting facility security self-reviews annually and providing corrective action plans as necessary. * The Security Specialist will establish and maintain an electronic database for all program facilities and personnel. * Subject matter expertise is highly desired in the use of the Security Information Management Systems (SIMS) software application. Qualifications * Position Qualifications * Shall have 2 or more years of security specialist experience. * Shall have 2 or more years of experience using Microsoft Office application suite (Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, and Project). * Desired Qualifications * Bachelor's degree. * Security Fundamentals Professional Certification (SFPC). * Security Clearance Requirements * This position will require U.S. Citizenship and an active DoD TS/SCI clearance.
